About TERRAVIVA Europe
TERRAVIVA Europe (TVE) is the European edition of the TERRAVIVA group of electronic periodicals published by IPS-Inter Press Service - The Global News Agency (IPS).
IPS is a global news agency producing features stories and analyses about sustainable development, globalisation, poverty, human rights, gender issues and civil society. It is the only world news agency with over 70 percent of its contributors permanently based in Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
IPS is owned by IPS Inter Press Service International Association which has a consultative status with the ECOSOC. IPS is also recognised by the OECD as one of the "main international non-governmental organisations official contributions to which may be reported as (bilateral) ODA".
The TERRAVIVA group of electronic publications includes theIPS UN Journal TERRAVIVA from the UN headquarters in New York, TERRAVIVA Africa from IPS Africa regional centre in South Africa's commercial capital Johannesburg and TERRAVIVA America Latina from IPS Latin America regional centre in Uruguay's capital Montevideo. All TERRAVIVA periodicals reach an international audience of decision makers and opinion leaders.
TERRAVIVA also covers crucial UN conferences and civil society meetings like WSF, producing electronic or print conference newspapers.
The global publisher of the TERRAVIVA group of publications is Mario Lubetkin, the Director-General (DG) of IPS with headquarters in Rome.
